Which one is better, 9-key input method or 26-key (which one is better, 9-grid input method or full keyboard)

Which one is better, 9-key input method or 26-key (which one is better, 9-grid input method or full keyboard)

Is the 9 key easy to use or the 26 key easy to use? Why do most people born in the 2000s use 26 keys, and typing faster?

The Chinese Pinyin keyboard of the lazy mobile phone is nothing more than two input methods, 9 keys and 26 keys. Although there is also a handwriting mode, almost no one has used it. Only the older generation has never learned Pinyin due to problems of the times, so they can only use the handwriting mode.

I personally have always used the Nine Grid keyboard, and almost all my friends around me have Nine Grids. Later, I gradually came into contact with some friends born in the 2000s and found that many of them used the 26 key.

So which one is better for the 9 key or 26 key we commonly use?

The history of the nine-grid keyboard can actually be traced back to the feature phones many years ago. In that era, in addition to telephone communication, everyone's main communication came from text messages. However, mobile phones at that time were relatively small, and the input method could only be integrated on this small keyboard, so the 1-9 keys in the keyboard are also the nine-grid grids of the input method.

Don’t look at this small keyboard, almost everyone can type blindly after using it for a while, and the input speed is no slower than that of today’s smartphones.

Although some mobile phone brands have launched full-key keyboards similar to computer keyboards in the era of feature phones, this small key is not convenient due to mobile phone input, so it has not been widely circulated. Therefore, friends who have experienced the era of feature phones have almost all come from the era of nine-grid keyboards. When facing today's smartphones, the first choice is naturally the nine-grid keyboards. They don't need to be familiar with them and get started directly. In addition, the input methods of smartphones have entries to search, so it is particularly convenient to use.

The era of the rise of smartphones can be said to be the era when the post-00s grew up. Almost all of this generation have used feature phones, or they just use them on phone calls. Therefore, when the post-00s come into contact with mobile phones, they can freely choose 9-keys or 26-keys. I am not familiar with this statement.

In addition, since the 26 keyboard corresponds to the input mode of the computer keyboard, many post-00s have been exposed to computer keyboards since childhood, so using the 26 keyboard can relatively better adapt.

So which of these two input modes is better used?

In fact, there is no input mode that is faster in essence. In an ideal state, the input of the 26 key may be more accurate, but in actual use, the 26 key is relatively small and it is often touched by mistake when operating with one hand.

However, the input methods provided by some mobile phone brands such as Apple can now support sliding input. You only need to slide the keys back and forth, and you can also quickly input without lifting your fingers. Moreover, after testing, the accuracy rate is very high, and there is almost no recognition error.

9 key is more convenient in terms of use, but because the pinyin is integrated, the accuracy isIt may not be as good as the 26 key. Sometimes it is often turned down for a long time to find a certain word.

So, which input method do you prefer to use?
