Comparison of the destructive effects of

The Finals (free), a second game developed by Embark Studios, led by former DICE CEO Patrick Söderlund, was launched on the Steam platform on March 7. Since The Finals was born into a former Battlefield developer, the game is somewhat similar in visual effects to the Battlefield series. YouTube channel Cycu1 compares the destructive effects of "The Finals" and "Battlefield 2042".

Both games are recorded on RTX 3080 graphics cards, and Cycu1 also specifically thanks Nvidia for providing the test code for "The Finals".

From the video, the destruction effect of "The Finals" and "Battlefield 2042" is quite good, but the explosion destruction animation of "The Finals" is more refined and the details are full. When "The Finals" exploded, you can see a huge amount of debris splashing in all directions, while "Battlefield 2042" lacks details and is more just a replacement for smoke.

In addition, the animation of "The Finals" when the trees hit by rockets fell is more realistic.

In addition to developing The Finals, Embark is also developing another free game, "ARC Raiders".
