"Distance Light" developer Techland once said that their next masterpiece after "Distance Light 2" is an open-world fantasy RPG. Now Techland has shared a new concept picture of this fantasy RPG. Like the first concept map shared by Techland last year, it shows the natural environment.
First, we see a character hanging from the branches of a large tree, clearly showing the return of Techland's perfect parkour climbing technology in The Deserted Light. We can also better feel the scale Techland is working to create – this image shows a very wide world where vision can be seen from every direction.
If you look closely, we will also see people entering one of the temples and a small village in the distance, so this is not a lonely, abandoned world. It is definitely not another version of Earth, either, as we see a huge broken moon hanging in the air.
Techland official recommendation said: "We never stopped improving. Our latest game will be a narrative-driven fantasy epic with an exotic open world waiting for you to explore. We strive to create a fascinating 3A game with the plot at its center of gravity, combining and improving the best aspects of what Techland is good at."
Last year, Techland announced it had poached many of the top talent from CD Projekt Red to help with the production, including Karolina Stachyra and Arkadiusz Borowik for The Witcher 3, as well as Bartosz Ochman, the Open World Director.
