PS5 natively supports mouse and keyboard as peripherals, but whether it can be used depends on whether the game supports it.

PS5 users can connect a wired USB or Bluetooth mouse and keyboard to their host for a PC-like experience. The mouse and keyboard also extend to certain games that may give you an advantage in the battlefield. Assassin's Creed: Valhalla and Call of Duty 17: Black Ops Cold War both have built-in mouse: keyboard support, and have keyboard mapping, sensitivity control and other functions.

However, according to foreign players' tests, the keyboard and mouse compatibility is not perfect. The host cannot provide enough power to his Tesoro Durandal Spectrum RGB keyboard—there is no RGB, and the keys cannot work properly, but the ordinary film keyboard can be used normally. The player said his G.Skill Ripjaws MX780 mouse works, but it doesn't work very well. High DPI feels a bit late when aiming, and seems to be lagging in all aspects.

The great thing is that you can use the mouse and keyboard with the DualSense or DualShock handle. The PS5 will treat these devices as additional peripherals, not controllers. Like the PS4, the PS5 will recognize the keyboard used to type and control certain menu navigation.

But again, this feature is not perfect either. You still have to use the DualSense handle to operate on screenshots, export videos, and other host-specific features.

Nevertheless, it still makes it clear that the PS5 is more like a computer in particular than a gaming console...especially when it supports high-end mice.
