As we all know, "Assassin's Creed: Odyssey" sets the game background in ancient Greece, and the game content is rich and the map is vast. However, recently some players have discovered that there is no Greek language added to the language options of the game. Although it does not delay any game experience, it still feels strange to listen to English in an ancient Greek environment.
In a recent interview, game director Scott Phillips said that if you want to listen to Greek you can only choose Italian dubbing and pretend that it is Greek. Judging from the game's Steam page, the game does support only English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese and Russian, without Greek.
In fact, there is a similar situation in Assassin's Creed: You don't hear Egyptian in ancient Egypt (of course this language has long been destroyed). However, there is Italian in "Assassin's Creed 2" and "Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood", while there is French in "The Revolution", and there is also a distinction between American and British English in "Assassin's Creed 3" and "The Heroes".
However, Assassin's Creed Odyssey is indeed striving to restore ancient Greece in other ways and trying to make players more immersive in the experience of that fascinating era. The game will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 5.
