Thoughts of Assassin's Creed Valhalla (How is Assassin's Creed Valhalla evaluated)

It took more than half a year to open up the Assassin's Creed Hall. As an Assassin's Creed fan, briefly talking about the feelings of this work can only represent one's own words, and there will inevitably be subjective emotions, so don't blame it!

In general, this game did not meet my expectations. Although it also had many highlights, it was still slightly less amazing than the previous game Odyssey. The latest mythological trilogy feels a bit like playing the new Tomb Raider trilogy. The first part is amazing, the second part reaches its peak, and the third part is not bad, but it gives people the feeling that it does not meet higher expectations. Let’s talk about it in detail below.

1. The plot is too long and not compact. The origin of this point is much better than that of the Odyssey, not simply the length of the plot, but mainly the compact connection. The origin is revenge, the destruction of the ancient preface, the Odyssey is looking for mothers and fathers, the main line is very clear, and the others are all side branches for this purpose. The Temple of Heroes is to build a colony and win over allies. However, the 16 areas have little relationship with each other. This gives people the feeling that it is really not too deep to be involved in the role. Especially after the elder brother is arrested, the main plot feels that it has finally advanced, and the hidden secrets will surface, but if you don’t continue, you have to continue to find allies and do some irrelevant miscellaneous work, which makes people feel very out of the way.

2. Skill design. Although the skill design is very complex, the zodiac-like skill book suddenly has the feeling of an Elder Scroll, to be honest, there are actually not many practical skills, and separating skills and abilities does not increase the fun. This is a good Odyssey skill design, active and passive, and very practical. It feels great to rush into the crowd and output skills. The ability in the Temple of Heroes is to use it, which means jumping, flying axes, explosion arrows, and piercing arrows, which are far less practical than the easy-to-use skills in the Odyssey. However, there are some particularly outstanding skills to talk about the advantages later.

Of course, the flaws do not conceal the merits, and the Temple of Heroes also has its advantages, which is also very obvious. Ubisoft listened to the advice. Didn’t you say that the small tasks are repeated? I will change them to stories for you. Didn’t you say that the level suppression is too powerful? I will cancel the level. Didn’t you say that you can’t kill with one blow? I will change it too. Let's talk about it in detail below:

1. The design of certain skills is excellent. Especially for advanced assassination, it feels good to encounter advanced enemies with QTE and one-hit kill. It is much better than long pressing in the Odyssey and half-tube blood. Finally, a way was left for the Assassin Party, and the rest were arrows and double-holding were also very impressive. Another point is that the level suppression has been cancelled. Although it still has strength, it is still OK to encounter a strong enemy just now, unlike before, which is completely useless. In fact, the best idea is that all enemies change according to the protagonist level, rather than setting them in different regions, so that they can go anywhere, and they can beat them, and they can beat them.

2. The branch lines have become short stories. Compared to the past, delivering goods is definitely much better than killing people. Moreover, the operation has added a plot to solve the case and decrypt it, which is a bit similar to the Wizard 3and Batman Arkham feel.

3. The picture quality and various execution actions are more diverse, but this is also what it should be, and there is no need to say more. Finally, let’s talk about some shortcomings that are not considered shortcomings. The large rural areas of England are scattered with fog and are very gloomy, not as sunny as those of Greece, and the various temples and statues are magnificent.

My ideal Assassin's Creed should be, Odyssey background + skills, Valhalla's side line + assassination, maybe it's perfect. In general, Valhalla is a good game, but the expectations are too high, or the previous work is too excellent, but it does not meet expectations. I don’t know what changes will happen in the new work in the future. I hope to see the finale of Assassin’s Creed in my lifetime.
