Assassin's Creed: Odyssey has been updated recently, probably to promote the new work "Assassin's Creed: Valhalla". Recently, UP has also made up for the pit of Odyssey, but it always makes sense to be inexplicably stuck during the game. When the computer configuration is very rich, it will still be stuck. My configuration has not been fully consumed, and the basic CPU, GUP, and memory usage can only reach 50% (as shown in the figure below)

This configuration should be very easy to play this game, but it was still very stuttering when I didn't expect it to be. At first, it was suspected that it was a hard disk problem. The game was installed on a mechanical hard disk and later transferred the game to a solid state hard disk, but it still stuttered. During the entire game operation, the mechanical hard disk occupancy rate did not exceed 50%, so the pot that was a mechanical hard disk can be ruled out (as shown below)

Solution:

Step 1: First upgrade the system to win 10. If it is already a win 10 system, then upgrade the system to the latest version. This can solve most of the lags and crashes, especially for crashes.

Step 2: Update the graphics card driver to the latest version, and the old version of the graphics card driver will also cause lag.

Step 3: Close the full-screen optimization of the game execution file ACOdyssey.exe. Specific operation steps: Right-click on ACOdyssey.exe, select Properties, then click the Compatibility tab, and then check Disable full-screen optimization. (As shown below)

Step 4: Turn off vsync in the game options display and set the window mode to borderless. It will solve the lag perfectly. (As shown below)
