The Mythical Trilogy of Assassin's Creed has changed from action adventure to an open world RPG, bringing this series back to life and renewing new vitality. The previously officially announced new work "Assassin's Creed: Infinity" will guide, grow, develop and define the future of "Assassin's Creed" in Ubisoft's words. This may suggest that Assassin's Creed: Infinity is the last game in the franchise, or a new beginning.
Date of Release
Most industry insiders speculate that there is at least two years before the release of Assassin's Creed: Infinity. Since Ubisoft did not give an approximate time, this is just a speculation based on the scale of the project and combined with the development time of other games. There is no doubt that it is too early to talk about the game, but Ubisoft had to disclose the game's development process after the news leaked.
What's the difference
Assassin's Creed: Infinity ends the process of "passing the baton from old games to new games" (New Year's goods). As game reporter Jason Schreier reported, the game still has room for expansion after its release and will continue to be updated. Future additional content may appear in the form of DLC extensions rather than a separate game sequel.
Online Service
As we all know, Ubisoft's latest additions require players to have to be online to play the game, even in single player mode. Like "Fate", "Marvel Avengers" and "Hymn" are all online service games. Assassin's Creed game has had multiplayer mode before, so it could be some simple PvPvE maps, or a wider range of content.
It is not clear whether players can play Assassin's Creed: Infinity alone, or whether other players will appear in the game world. The word "massive" has been used more than once, so players who hope to launch the MMO gameplay "Assassin's Creed" can continue to have hope. Assassin's Creed: Infinity is not a free game, and players still have to pay for buying the game. However, Ubisoft's attitude towards NFT is not a good sign.
Game Development
Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft Quebec are responsible for the development, both of which are well-known. Ubisoft Quebec is known for Tom Clancy: Rainbow Six, Assassin's Creed: The Odyssey, and the studio's latest hit game, The Rise of Finnies, and Ubisoft Montreal's popular games include Assassin's Creed: The Temple of Valhalla, Watch Dogs, and Tom Clancy: Cell Division.
Don't make it because of the treesOnly those who ignore the entire forest can be responsible for the overall game determine success or failure. Assassin's Creed: Infinity will be led by an individual in-house in Ubisoft, Marc-Alexis Côté, who was appointed executive director, founded Ubisoft Quebec Studios and worked with Ubisoft Montreal's ten-year brand director Étienne Allonier.
The senior producer of these two studios is Julien Laferrière, who has been in charge of Assassin's Creed game since 2007 and has been working on Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. The creative director will be jointly performed by Jonathan Dumont (Assassin's Creed: The Odyssey) and Clint Hocking (Assassin's Creed: Chaos Theory, Far Cry 2 and Watchdogs).
Story Settings
From the first part, Assassin's Creed has been exploring places that exist in history. Assassin's Creed: Infinity will have multiple settings, although their exact nature has not been disclosed. It is reported that Animus allows players to shuttle between different places, and players will not only explore various different places, but also experience different time periods. Although Assassin's Creed: Valhalla broke the series sales record, it is also the game with the lowest player completion rate.
