Recently, IGN shared a naval battle demonstration of Ubisoft's "Assassin's Creed: Odyssey". Game Director Scott Phillips introduced us to a new version of naval battle gameplay, impact, setting fire, close combat, and hand-to-hand combat. Players can choose a variety of ways to win naval battles.

The naval war content of Assassin's Creed Odyssey is very similar to that of Assassin's Creed Black Flag in core gameplay, but the development team has greatly adjusted the complexity of the system, which will be used to enhance naval warfare in open waters. Phillips said that the design team knew very well that the naval battles of this era were definitely very different from the pirate styles of the 17th century, so they would create naval battle content in different ways.

According to the introduction, the new naval warfare system no longer relies on letting players purchase special types of ammunition to purchase damage, but instead upgrades to a mechanism that increases melee damage caused to enemy ships by the player. The more damage a player causes to another ship, you can unlock stronger attack methods. For example, after unlocking, the player can upgrade the ship at the Craftsman, and then you can use long-range rocket arrows and close-range fire spear attacks. Repeated attacks on an enemy ship during combat can cause more damage, causing the ship to create a weakness, and at this time you can also use your strongest weapon to attack it - use the impact angle to hit it.

"Assassin's Creed: Odyssey" will be released on October 5 this year and will be available on PC/PS4/Xbox One platform, so stay tuned.
