Which Assassin's Creed is the best (Assassin's Creed 1 plot introduction)

Hello everyone,In fact, I have always been a fake fan of the "Assassin's Creed" series, because I clearly paid for all the works of Assassin's Creed (except the Temple of Valhalla, because it was not on Steam), but I have never played a single one, or I have played it through.

I remember when I was a child, in 2007 when Assassin's Creed just launched, magazines such as "Popular Software" and "Computer Game Guide" directly exploded. I was so excited that I downloaded the learning version to play, and I often wore a hooded dress to imitate Altaïr.

Think about it now, I really had a passion for playing games at that time. If I couldn't understand the plot text, I wouldn't listen to it and I couldn't read the words. I just held a dictionary and looked it up while I was looking for it (maybe the first-year nude test of 600 and passing the CET-6 also had the credit for playing games at that time). I didn't know who to kill, so I directly regarded "Assassin's Creed" as the medieval version of "Sin City" and directly beat it.

But unfortunately, I was young and couldn't pass the game. Every time my friends come to my house, I will never tire of opening a new level and playing it with everyone, and in the end the game only passed about 40%.

15 years have passed in a blink of an eye. I don't know how many computers I have changed to, but I have never passed any "Assassin's Creed".

So I decided to start with Assassin's Creed 1, the oldest work, play it again, and see what the difference will be.

So, this article was created.

(Assassin's Creed 1 can only buy "director editing version" on Steam, which is equivalent to a small enhanced version. It's just that there are several types of investigation tasks more than the console version, such as assassination challenge missions and rooftop racing missions, which are equivalent to several more investigation methods. There is no need to do game consoles like PS3 for the sake of the "original version")

Everything is difficult at the beginning - infinite crash and infinite listening test

Today, 15 years later, "Assassin's Creed" sequels to the world, it has become very difficult to find the news about "Assassin's Creed 1", and many web pages can no longer be opened.

I finally found the steam Chinese patch and installed it happily. I found that this patch seems to have a conflict with Win10.

As long as I pass the training level and enter the prologue, the game will automatically crash in the loading interface and crash directly. I dealt with crash throughout that night, and this symptoms lasted for at least 3 hours.

So I deleted the Chinese patch and entered the game with the DX9 version. In this way, the problem of reading the file crash was finally solved. Until I passed the level, I crashed two or three times because of the bug, which was acceptable.

But the second one is difficultThe problem that comes with it comes. Assassin's Creed 1 cannot bring up English subtitles, so you have no other way except to listen. Even if you install a Chinese patch, you still have to listen to the plot yourself.

Not to mention listening to the accented English of medieval people, even if Desmond and Lucy chatted, they wouldn't understand a few professional words.

But hard work pays off. I found all the key plot translations and email translations of Assassin's Creed 1. I watched the plot in advance, then listened to it and identified it. The sense of substitution was much better.

My AC1 journey began like this.

I use my sword to kill the yellow spring - as long as I kill all the people, no one can find me

I have also played three or four "Killer" series, but I found that "Assassin's Creed 1" has taken a completely different route from "Killer" from the beginning.

Although the game contains the alertness of the Templar and the wanted and hidden systems, it seems that it has all the internal organs.

But in fact, the alertness system is useless. As long as you draw your sword and turn everyone into seconds, all the witnesses will be gone, and the alertness will naturally be reduced to 0. It can be said that it is very convenient and fast.

In my opinion, any assassination method in AC1 is actually unreliable and even a waste of time.

Even if you are discovered by the guards in front of the assassination target and everyone chases you and beats you, Your assassination target will even rush over to chase you and beat you, as if saying, "Come on, come on, come on, come on, cut me off. If I don't die today, don't think of living!"

Only a few smart enemies will know how to run away, but once they run to a place with many guards, they will naturally draw their swords to fight you, and then give them a head.

Although there is no difficulty limit in Assassin's Creed 1, overall, the battle is really simple and almost no difficulty.

Even if you are surrounded by seven or eight people, don't panic. Just hold the right button to defend. Once the enemy comes to hit you, press the left button, Altaïr can automatically use his gorgeous counterattack skills and directly knock the enemy down or in seconds. It's simply unreasonable.

What's even more outrageous is that this counterattack is still invincible. During the counterattack, the enemy can only watch it, which is similar to the heroic killing in DOOM.

There are only four weapons in the game, namely, flying sword, long sword and fist. Although the flying sword can fly people at a long distance and fight melee, I still like to use long swords more because it makes a jingle and a chic and stylish posture.

To talk about warWhat is missing in the fight? I feel that some AOE attack methods are missing. Otherwise, I will just sweep a large piece of stick and pick a line from the gun, and dream of returning to the true unparalleled Three Kingdoms.

(The only regret is that Altay can’t swim. She died immediately after touching a little water. It is really a bit pitiful. Later, she was also known as the “swimming champion Altay”)

Mist full of maps—a repeated map opening and collection system

The Assassin's Creed stage revolves around cities such as Damascus and Jerusalem, and each city was initially shrouded in a large fog.

So every time I come to a new city, the first thing I do is to climb high and take in the scenery, so that part of the fog will dissipate. This process has to be repeated many times, many times.

Similar things are to rescue NPCs. There are many Templars bullying the people in every city. At first I saw that in order to accumulate virtue, I always have to go forward and beat them up, punish evil and promote good and uphold justice.

But the same thing went over and over again. When the NPC saved me, they said the same thing as me. When I saw me again, I could only whistle and pretend that nothing happened because I was so tired.

In addition, there is also an "important" collection element in the game - flags. There are some flags scattered everywhere, and there are a total of hundreds of faces waiting for you to collect.

But the problem is that you have tried your best to collect so many flags, not only will you not achieve anything (AC1 has no achievements on the steam platform haha), but you don’t even have any additional rewards, just to enjoy it and gain the journey.

Who can withstand this?

In fact, AC1's assassination mission is also highly repetitive, and basically every task has the same process.

Listen to the master's lesson first → go to the Assassin Bureau to check the mission → eavesdrop, beating, running on the roof, stealing things, etc. → go back to the Assassin Bureau to get feathers → run to the target location to slash the sword → run when you are wanted → go back to the Assassin Bureau to hand in the mission → go back to the Assassin Bureau to listen to the lesson

To be honest, after playing the first two levels of Assassin's Creed 1, the other things are actually the same, but they just change the soup and don't change the medicine. The highly repetitive game process is a major reason why it was criticized back then.

From arrogant and ignorant to steady and powerful—excellent pictures and stunning plot

We have just talked about the many shortcomings and disadvantages of Assassin's Creed 1.

However, on Steam, the positive review rate of AC1 still reached 83%, not only because Assassin's Creed 1 is cheap+If it is released early, there will inevitably be other reasons.

First of all, the picture of Assassin's Creed, not to mention the 2007 work, even if you examine it with today's perspective, it is not very bad. It's just a little bit of bugs, and it can only be described in the word "excellent".

Secondly, the plot of Assassin's Creed is truly exciting.

This work is told from two lines separately, one is the ancient Altaïr and the other is the modern Desmon. This setting and the "Animus" that can be imported into memory are already trendy enough to make the players at that time stunned.

Ataire was already the chief assassin master as soon as he appeared, but because he was young and arrogant, he violated his creed one after another, resulting in the failure of his mission and his companion being killed. The master blamed him and deprived him of all his abilities and weapons. He started as the most savvy assassin apprentice, and killed 9 people on the list to restore his reputation.

Altaire is like a loyal dog, keeping in mind the teachings of his mentors, killing each target, but every time he kills a target, he will be surprised to find that although the targets do many evil things, they always think that they are doing good things and maintaining world peace.

It was not until the end that he realized that he was being used by his master. His master wanted to take over the magical artifacts and use the golden apple to control everyone. His master was the violator of that creed.

For the sake of justice in his heart and for the assassin's creed, he took action to kill his master and grabbed the artifact.

As his descendant, Desmon was captured by the descendants of the Templars to study memories. All the so-called Altaïr's adventures were completely restored in his mind. The use of him to find a magical tool is also a big game, containing a lot of riddles from the Ubisoft production team, as well as the numerous games between the two major organizations of the Assassin and the Templars.

When I was young, I didn't watch any plots, I just had a good time killing in the game.

Fifteen years later, I revisited the old drama, and then I understood that the connotation and depth of "Assassin's Creed 1" are far less simple than I thought. It was just delayed by its thin game form and repeated game flow. The pioneering work of this legendary series is indeed irreplaceable.

Some people say that reading the same book when you are young, young, middle-aged, and old, often has different opinions.

I believe the same is true for playing games. After many years, will you have some special insights when playing those classic childhood works?
