From the early days of the Assassin's Creed series, fans have been calling for stories that are more oriental than the Mediterranean. For this nearly 15-year-old IP, the story of the Far East is only briefly mentioned in the first part of the rumor "Assassin's Creed: Chronicles".
If Assassin's Creed finally released a Chinese-themed masterpiece, would you like the background of this game to be set in which era in the ancient Chinese country in the millennium? Li Chunlei, a concept artist from Ubisoft Shanghai, came up with his own ideas. He created a series of artistic conceptual pictures based on the Chinese War of Resistance.
According to the concept map, players will play the role of assassin in Shanghai after the Battle of Shanghai in 1937, fighting the occupied Japanese army.
The assassin's clothing in the concept picture is based on the Chinese uniforms of the time. The outer cover is the usual hooded cape style of Assassin's Creed.
The Shunjian is based on a bayonet and comes with a small pistol that can be deformed.
In addition, a Japanese villain is also depicted in detail in the concept picture, holding the Eden artifact and looking similar to Hideki Tojo.
There is also an action scene at the end, depicting the moment of assassination, where Wanjun takes the head of the enemy general, which is very handsome.
But since these pictures have been made public, it means that it is definitely not a project that Ubisoft Shanghai is underway. What do you think of these concept diagrams? When do you think "Assassin's Creed" will be set up at which time if it is launched with a Chinese background story? Welcome to leave your own opinions in the comment section.
