After a decade of development, Black Sails in Blue Sea has experienced multiple vote retardations, restarts, and allegations of negative work culture and discrimination.
But now, Ubisoft Sea Battle game "Blue Sea Black Sail" is finally coming. The official said last month that the B-test will be launched, and existing reliable sources say Ubisoft will officially announce it next month.
If it is true, it means that this long-awaited game is expected to be released in Ubisoft this fiscal year (as of March 2023).
The whistleblower recently said that Ubisoft's "small" game "Blue Sea Black Sail" will be "re-released" this week on July 4, and the game's release date, live demonstration, gameplay and other additional details will be announced.
IT Home has reported that "Blue Sea Black Sail" is a pirate-themed game produced by Ubisoft, originally developed as a spin-off of "Assassin's Creed: Black Flag". The theme of the game is the Sail Warship War in the modern context, supporting PVP and PVE gameplay. In addition, the game may also have a Sea Monster War mode.
Blue Sea Black Sail has now passed the grading certification of Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Stadia in Brazil and South Korea, which may mean that the final release date of the game is approaching. Of course, the Xbox One and PS4 versions do not appear in the same list, and the corresponding version is or has been cancelled.
"Black Sails in Blue Sea" was developed by Ubisoft Singapore Studio, but the development process was not smooth and many problems arose during the production process. It is reported that Ubisoft released some details of the work for the first time at E3 in 2017, saying that the release date is scheduled to be at the end of 2018, but the subsequent postponed to 2019, then March 2020, and then the fiscal year before March 2022.
Last month, Ubisoft said the game will be released in the second half of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2023, and that it is recently a “multiple player priority.”
