Honor of Kings borrows from Assassin's Creed skin (game skin plagiarism)

In 2015, the hero "Miyamoto Musashi" in "Honor of Kings" was criticized by a large number of players for her appearance and appearance resembles "Hanzo" in Overwatch. The early Honor of Kings was once named "Heroic War" and "League of Kings", and "drawing" many elements from other games, animations, and illustrations during game development.

In December 2017, "Honor of Kings" officially announced that it would optimize Miyamoto Musashi's style, and its style will be greatly changed. The most intuitive ones are hair color and clothing. However, 4 years have passed, and this adjustment is still not implemented, and there is no movement in the rework of Miyamoto Musashi's skills in the experience server in 2021.

On September 27, 2021, the official announced that it will replace the poster of Daji's brave skin "Girl Ali" in the next update. At this time, some players discovered that the hamster in the poster is very similar to the 28th hero of Overwatch, "Hammond". Coincidentally, in the version update on September 28, the poster of this skin remains the same and has not changed. The official did not explain the reason for continuing to use the old poster, nor did it mention the relevant content of this poster again. Players seem to have gradually forgotten it.

Recently, in the second year-round skin of "Honor of Kings", Athena's "Dawn Deal" once again aroused the anger of Overwatch players. Some players made a comparison picture, believing that the shape of this skin plagiarized the "angel".

Some players flocked to Weibo to Honor of Kings Super Sentences and posted comments on this behavior. For a time, the super Sentences were flooded with plagiarism-related posts. In the comment section of the official Weibo of Honor of Kings, many players were also angry and questioned about the similar appearance and movements.

The official official of Honor of Kings has not yet responded to the issue of Athena's semester skin and angel style. It is difficult to make a judgment on whether it is plagiarism or not. Previously, the multi-platform open-world game "Honor of Kings" authorized by the "Honor of Kings" IP was criticized by everyone for completely copying the material of "Genshin Impact" and even players in Honor of Kings could not stand it.

In fact, although the content of Honor of Kings' early "reference" has been revised, there are still omissions. In the background story of the character "Lanling King", there are still related clips similar to the old man in the mountain in Altayer in the first generation of Assassin's Creed. Coincidentally, the early name of Lanling King's companion skin "Hidden Blade" was "Assassin's Creed", and its posters and models were also highly similar to those of the assassins in the Ubisoft's representative game "Assassin's Creed".

If "Honor of Kings" wants to completely remove the plagiarism hat, there is still a long way to go. Many times, outsourcing is not the omnipotent answer. Players are more concerned about the problems of the Honor of Kings project team themselves, so they deserve strict review in terms of material selection.
