How to tune the thumb piano? So it's that simple. Don't blame me if you can't read it.
The thumb piano I just bought or used for a period of time may have inaccurate sound. But our ears may not be able to hear it, so how should we tune it? Actually it's very simple!
Preparation matters: tuner or tuner APP, tune hammer
Tuner recommendation: Android gstrings,Apple instuner
The next thing is tuning. You need to know your piano first.
Generally speaking, most pianos have C-tuning 17 keys, and there are also 17 keys G-tuning and 15 keys G-tuning. Their scales are as follows:
C-tuning 17 key
17 key G-tuning
15 key G-tuning
Then you can tune according to the scale table and then compare with the tuner. Next, let’s talk about the specific steps.
1. Turn the keys, such as the longest tone of the 17 key C, C4. Press and hold the keys on both sides of it to make only the C4 sound. Compare the tuner.
2. When the pointer is in the middle, it means that the sound is just right.
3. When the pointer is on the right, it means the pitch is high, and you need to use a tuning hammer to hit the keys downward.
4. When the pointer is on the left, it means that the sound is low and you need to use the tuning hammer to hit it up.
Check each key like this and then adjust the keys. However, when tuning for the first time, you need to take it slowly and use a smaller force to adjust it to prevent the wood or the keys from being knocked out!
How is this method? Isn't this method very simple?
