We all love Assassin's Creed.
Some people have true love for it, while others love to see it and make a fool of themselves. All in all, it's all love.
But Assassin's Creed is not just the orthodox sequels of the "New Year's goods" we play, but its story universe also includes other multimedia forms such as movies, novels and comics. Except for a few authorized derivative works, no matter which media form of Assassin's Creed works have a unified worldview and storyline. Today, this article focuses on the media form of "novel", introducing the assassin stories that ordinary players may not pay much attention to.
About the novel author
So far, 3 different authors have written novels about Assassin's Creed.
Originally, the author with the largest number of authors was Oliver Borden. From the first book "Assassin's Creed: Renaissance" to the latest "Assassin's Creed: The Desert Oath", he has written a total of 9 novels, and all of them are novel adaptations based on the game series sequels - "Assassin's Creed 3 Liberation" and "Assassin's Creed Rebellion" have not released novels.
Christy Gordon launched a novel adaptation of the Assassin's Creed movie in 2016 and launched the completely original story "Assassin's Creed: Heresy." However, in 2014, she participated in the two illustration-based setting projects, "Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag: Black Beard - The Last Diary" and "Assassin's Creed: Unity Absteiger Entertainment - Staff Manual", responsible for the original story setting, some of which had an important impact on the subsequent development of the series.
New writer Matthew J. Kabi is the author of the original teenage novel series "Assassin's Creed: The Last Age". There are currently 3 copies in this series, namely "Assassin's Creed: The Last Age", "The Tomb of Khan" and "The Destiny of the Gods".
Oliver Bourden is a famous British novelist and scholar of Renaissance history. Therefore, it is conceivable why Ubisoft chose him as the author of the first adaptation of Assassin's Creed, and ensured that the novel and the game were released almost simultaneously. The adapted novels written by Oliver Boden only tell the stories of ancient chapters in the game, and do not include the content of modern chapters at all.
The identity of a historical research scholar makes Bourden's novels appear more stringent in the verification of some historical fact-related events, and corrects some parts of the game that are inconsistent with real history. The first four novels up to "Assassin's Creed: Revelation" are basically faithful to the original main plot, except for a few original plots. (Some plots will cause a small conflict in setting due to subsequent changes in game works.) Starting from the novel "Forgotten" of "Assassin's Creed 3", Borden focused the novel version on the prequel or the other side of the game plot - the author will describe this in detail below.
Christy Gordon is a famous best-selling science fiction andA fantasy novelist, a frequent visitor to the New York Times bestseller list. She has written more than ten novels about "Star Travel" and has also written a series of novels for well-known IPs such as "Star Wars" and "Dungeons and Dragons". For gamers, Gordon's most famous works are many well-known works written for Blizzard World of Warcraft and StarCraft, such as "Tide of War" and "War Crimes".
Gauden's superb method of describing the characters' psychological description is also reflected in several works she created for "Assassin's Creed". Dr. Victoria Biber, who she created in the book Absteiger Entertainment - Staff Manual, became an important supporting role throughout the follow-up novel story.
Matthew J. Kabby is a new writer who just debuted in 2010. His main works are novels for teenage readers. In the "Last Genesis" series, he describes the adventure stories of six young men with shared destiny and their ancestors. Its exquisite structure and wonderful story bring readers a refreshing Assassin's Creed experience.
Note: In addition to "Assassin's Creed Origin: The Desert Oath", "Assassin's Creed: The Destiny of the Gods" and two collections of art settings, all the novels introduced below have Chinese translations of physical books, and those who are interested can search for them.
Note 2: The following contains a story summary of the currently published Chinese-translated novel, please read it with caution.
Oliver Bourden's work
The Renaissance
This book was released in the UK on November 20, 2009, and was released almost simultaneously with Assassin's Creed 2. This is the first novel in the series. Compared with subsequent works, this book is the most loyal to the original game and historical facts. The novel features Ezio Auditori as the main character, telling the story of him becoming an assassin to avenge his father and brother, and being involved in the war between the Brotherhood of Assassin and the Knights Templar.
This book sets the precedent for the novel adapted to the Assassin's Creed game that only tells stories about ancient chapters, and all elements of modern chapters will not appear in works written by Oliver Boden.
"Brotherhood"
This book is a sequel to "The Renaissance" and is released in mid-to-late November 2010, just like the original game "Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood". Because the author himself is a scholar of Renaissance history research, this book, like "The Renaissance", corrects several inaccurate descriptions of historical facts in the game - for example, when Caesar Bogia was disfigured from syphilis when she was young, she showed herself in a mask all year round, while Caesar in the game always showed her intact face like an oil painting.
"Secret Holy War"
The book published at the end of June 2011 is the third novel of Assassin's Creed, but it tells the story of the first generation of Assassin's Creed.
The story of the work is told by Marco Polo's father, Nicollo Polo, the career deeds of the Levantese assassin mentor Altaire. Based on the original plot of the game, Borden added a large number of new plots and introduced Altaïr's old rival Abbas. Abbas was a friend of Altayle's childhood, but parted ways with Altayle because of questions about the cause of his father's death. Years later, Abbas even killed Altay's wife and second son and usurped his assassin mentor. In the end, Altayne used the power of the Golden Apple to kill Abbas and once again served as the Assassin's mentor.
The newly added plot of "Secret Jihad" appears in the form of a memory disc in "Assassin's Creed: Revelation", which was released in November 2011. Through these memory discs, Ezio will re-recognize Altaïr, the greatest mentor in Assassin's history.
"Revelation"
This book is the fourth novel in the series released simultaneously with the game in November 2011.
Borden's works tend to be historical and realistic, so in addition to never introducing modern content, the core skills of the assassins in the game "Hawkeye Vision" and "Hawkeye Sensation" have never officially appeared in his works. For the first time in the novel version of "Apocalypse", a description of the effect of this ability appears. The novel version also includes plots related to the short animation "Ash", recording the last days of Ezio, the most powerful assassin in history.
"Abandoned"
This book is an adaptation of the novel "Assassin's Creed 3" released in December 2012. Starting from this work, Oliver Borden has made many adjustments to the plot focus of the novel version.
The protagonist of "Forgotten" is Haytham Kenway - the father of the game protagonist Connor Kenway. This book takes the form of a diary, starting with Hatham's father Edward being killed by a gangster when he was a child and being taken care of by Birch, a member of the Templar. It tells the story of how he grew up to be a backbone of the Knights, discovered that Birch was related to his father's death and took revenge, and at the same time searching for his sister Jenny, who was sold to Europe by Birch. In the last part of the book, Haytham meets Connor, who records the details and moods of being the leader of the Knights in his diary to face his son as an assassin.
"Black Flag"
This book is a novel of the same name released in November 2013.
Compared to the game focusing the plot on Edward Kenway's pirate career, the fraternity of the Assassin's Brotherhood and the Knights Templar, the novel version is more like Edward's personal memoir, a story he described to his daughter Jenny, recording what happened before he became a pirate and after leading the Jackdaw back to England.
Although Edward never joined the Brotherhood in the game, the novel clearly states that he has made up his mind to become an assassin. At the end of the novel, Edward accepts mediation from Finance Minister Robert Walpole, and puts down his grudges with his young Templar enemy.. At the same time, Edward also accepted the property and business rights provided by Walpole in London, and took his daughter Jenny to London, successfully transforming from a pirate into an upper class.
But at the same time, Edward was secretly planning to help the Assassin Brotherhood develop in the UK.
"Unity"
This book is a novel of the same name released in December 2014, and the Chinese translation is "The Great Revolution".
The structure of this book is very similar to "Abandoned", both of which advance the plot in the form of a diary, and the main part is not told with the original Connor/Arno as the protagonist. The novel takes place after the end of the game plot. Arnold discovers her diary from Elise's relics, and thus learns another aspect of the story through Elise's perspective: how Elise, as the daughter of the Grand Commander of the Knights Templar, accepted her identity since childhood, and fell in love with Arnold, the son of the assassin; how she used her own strength to track down the truth of the matter.
The book continues the role of Jenny (Jennifer Kenway) in the first two novels. Through Jenny, Ellis learns from the indirect view of Haytham's vision of letting the Templar work with the Brotherhood of Assassin, and establishes the same idea in his heart - and this is also one of the origins of the subtitle "Unity".
"The Underworld"
This book is a prequel story of "Assassin's Creed: The Hero", which was released at the end of October 2015.
The protagonist of the novel is Jaydeep Mir, the son of Albaz Mir, the leader of the Indian branch of the Assassin Brotherhood. In order to make his son a great assassin, Albaz decided to let his British friend Ethan Fry come to train Jaydeep. Although Jayadip has a strong fighting talent, his unwilling nature to kill prevents him from becoming a qualified assassin. Under Ethan's arrangement, Jaydeep, who was locked in the black cellar of the Brotherhood due to the failure of the blood paint, went to the UK to help Ethan investigate the activities behind the Templars in the London Underground.
But this mission failed because of the traitor's betrayal, and the Knights Templar took away the fragments of Eden hidden in the subway construction site. Five years later, Ethan died of pleuritis, and his twin children Jacob and Evie officially became assassins and went to London to complete his father's unfinished career. Jaydeep, who had become the head of the London Brotherhood branch at this time, changed his name to Henry Green. With the help of Henry, the Fry twins defeated Crawford, the Grand Commander of the Templar, and allowed the Brotherhood to regain strength in London.
"Desert Oath"
This book is a prequel story of "Assassin's Creed: Origins" released in October 2017.
When Ptolemy XII was in power, Raia, an ambitious lower-level cadre of the ancient preceptor, accidentally discovered the record of the Guardian (Medjay) from ancient documents. He believes that the Guardian will become a dimensionalThe obstacle to the development of the orderly person, so he privately decided to eradicate his bloodline and gain a higher status in the orderly person organization. In order to achieve his goal, he found Bion, his subordinate who was joining the army, to carry out this task.
Hemon, the last elder of the Guardian, found that the order master was hunting the Guardian's bloodline, so he summoned the guardian of Siwa's (protector) Sabu to investigate the matter. Sabu's son Bayek was puzzled by his father's sudden departure, so he followed his father's footsteps and left the Siwa Oasis alone. Bayek's childhood sweetheart, Aiya, who was born from Alexander, secretly followed Bayek and finally embarked on a journey to find his father with Bayek.
After a long adventure, Bayek and Aya successfully find Sabu, but at the same time they encounter the tracked Bion. During the battle, Sabu used his bow and arrow to severely damage Bion, and then took Bayek and Aya on a journey to avoid the pursuit. During this journey, Sabu taught Bayek more of the Guardian's fighting skills, and at the same time acquiesced to Bayek share this knowledge with Aya. Because for Sabu, when other guardians are killed by Bion, continuing the guardian bloodline is also a very important task.
But Aya has a different plan for her life. Although she and Bayek love each other, she does not want to be a wife who is a guardian like Bayek's mother, Ahmose, to live her whole life in Siva. One day she will return to Alexander to explore knowledge. After learning that his aunt in Siwa was seriously ill, Aya left Sabu and Bayek and returned to Siwa alone. But Bion's spies found Aiya's whereabouts through letters and thus tracked down Sabu and Bayek's lurking ground. In a sneak attack, Bion successfully killed Sabu and severely damaged Bayek.
But Bayek however, he escaped after falling into the river and was rescued by a fisherman couple. Worried about Aya's safety, Bayek ran back to Siwa after he recovered from his injury, but found that Bion had already been waiting for his return here. In his own home, Bayek and Aya team up to fight Bion. In the end, Bion died at the hands of Ahmose, who was eager to protect his son.
Bayek then inherited his father Sabu's career and became Siwa's guardian and the last guardian. He also married Aiya and gave birth to his son Shimu. In order to protect his family and the entire Egypt, he went to Alexander alone and assassinated the initiator of all this - the ancient preceptor Raia. But Bayek didn't know that the person he killed was just the tip of the iceberg of the Order Group...
The Works of Christy Gordon
"Blackbeard-The Last Diary"
This book was published in March 2014. It is an illustration set of "Assassin's Creed 4: The Black Flag" that "disguised" as a historical document. This book features Blackbeard as the main character, through the showThe play's colorful setting pictures reconstruct the golden age of pirates under the Assassin's universe, and describes the deeds of Blackbeard and Edward Kenway sailing in the Caribbean. Christy Gordon constructs the daily lives of pirates through various detailed information in this book.
"Absteiger Entertainment Company-Securities Manual"
This book was published in November 2014, and is a collection of illustrations, just like "Blackbeard - The Last Diary". The content of this book is based on Assassin's Creed: Solidarity, and its theme is a manual of information provided by Absteiger Entertainment to research analysts participating in the "Arno Dorian" gene memory project, which includes an introduction to Absteiger's genetic memory research project and historical information about Arno Dorian.
Christy Gordon created two original characters for the book: research analyst Robert Fraser and psychiatric therapist Victoria Biber.
As a newcomer to the company, Robert Frather was too focused on discovering Arnold's genetic memory, thus creating a transference phenomenon in Arnold's life. In order to avoid adverse bleeding side effects, his superiors assigned Fraser's psychoanalyst Dr. Biber, for safety reasons. As the project progressed, Fraser's bleeding became more and more serious and he began to think that he was Arnold's reincarnation.
As Fraser's psychoanalyst, Biber suggested that Fraser destroyed all the literature on Arnold based on the patient's situation and encouraged him to secretly hand over memory data that he had not yet experienced to the modern assassin organization. This suggestion led to Fraser being arrested and executed by Absteg's security team. In the subsequent investigation of Bibo by the Templar, Bibo successfully cleansed up her charge of instigation and convinced the Knights that it was the most correct way she thought from a professional perspective at the time.
At a later point, Bibo, who had no idea about the entanglement between the Templars and the Brotherhood of Assassin, became a Templar. She was assigned to the Eagle Nest Institute of Absteiger's Department of Descent Studies and Acquisition in Pennsylvania, USA, to assist the director Isaiah in investigating the whereabouts of the Eden Trident. (This plot appears in the "Last Genesis" series, detailed below.)
"Assassin's Creed"
(the novel version of the movie)
A novel adaptation version launched simultaneously with the live-action movie version on December 21, 2016. Since the novel is basically completely faithful to the movie, there is no need to explain much about the content. Christy Gordon's expertise in psychological description and written details can help readers understand more information that cannot be fully conveyed by the visual expression of the movie alone. For example: Spanish assassins are popular with double-held slings, and each assassin's slings have a unique design and have completely different functions; the women Sophia saw in the group of assassins shown by Animus in Callum did have the same face as her; and so on.
According to relevant information from "Assassin's Creed: Origin", the modern heroine Layla Hassan is a friend of the heroine Sophia in the movie, and provides behind-the-scenes support for the development of the improved version of Animus in the movie.
The biggest feature of this book is that the four short stories are appendix to the main text, which tell the stories of the ancestors of the four assassins that Callum met in Absteg. The ancestor of the young Nathan was Duncan Walpole, and the prologue of "Black Flag" was killed by Edward Kenway and was illegitimate by the fraternity traitor; the ancestor of the victim Emile was Joseph Tazim, the leader of the Constantinople Brotherhood branch and Ezio's close friend in "Revelation" died in the raid of the Knights Templar; the ancestor of the black Mousa was Baptiste, and the fraternity traitor in "Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation", and was finally killed by the female New Orleans assassin Evelyn; the ancestor of the Chinese young woman Lin was Shao Yun, the protagonist of "Assassin's Creed Chronicle: China", first appeared in the animated short film "Assassin's Creed" and came to visit the elderly Ezio in order to save his compatriots to seek help from the Western Brotherhood. In "Assassin's Creed 3", it mentioned that it was she who introduced the Chinese assassin's weapon rope dart to the West.
"Heredom"
This work was published in November 2016 and is a novel with a completely original plot. According to the content of the book and relevant information from "Assassin's Creed: Origin", the plot of "Heaven" takes place after the "Last Genesis" series, before the movie version, and the time point in the Assassin's Universe was around October 2016.
Heredom is a novel that focuses entirely on the interior of the Knights Templar. The protagonist of the story, Simon Heatherway, is the new director of the Historical Research Department of Absteiger Industrial Company and a new member of the Inner Templar. After taking office, he proposed to Absteiger CEO Alan Rigin, a new direction for the historical research department: to investigate the Templars' own genetic memory to find ways to repair or use the fragments of Eden.
Simon's first mission is to enter Animus himself and confirm whether Joan of Arc really possesses a sword of Eden by experiencing the memories of one of his ancestors who had fought side by side as a comrade. With the help of Victoria Biber, a psychoanalyst in the Allen School, Simon embarked on a journey of exploring the memory of his ancestors.
In this experiment, Simon successfully discovered that Joan of Arc did obtain the sword of Eden in his most glorious period. This magic sword once belonged to Jacques de Mole, the last commander of the Knights Templar. After being lost by Joan of Arc, François-Thomas German, the commander of the French Revolution, got it again.
However, when German got the sword, it was no longer as powerful as it used to be. Later Arno Dorian killed German and took away the Divine Sword. At present, the sword has completely lost its power. The Knights Templars recycled it and marked it as a fragment of Eden No. 25, displayed as an ornament in Alan Ruijin'sIn the CEO's office.
Simon discovered that in order to regain power in the Divine Sword, he must obtain the Sacred Heart - the core power source of the sword. And this Sacred Heart was thrown into the Seine after Joan of Arc was burned to death as a heresy. In addition, Simon also discovered that his ancestors Gabriel and Joan of Arc were childhood sweethearts, and he followed Joan of Arc through everything. The two were once very close to the Assassin organization, and Gabriel even received assassin training.
However, Joan of Arc's influence violated the authority of the Knights Templar in Britain and France, so they designed to frame Joan of Arc. But what angered Gabriel was that the Assassin Brotherhood did not stand up to save the innocent saint at this time. The two's friend, the Duke of Alonson, who was a close associate, parted ways with the Brotherhood because of this incident several years later and joined the Knights Templar. He told Simon that the Knights' original plan was to make Joan of Arc no longer lead the people, but the two evil men in charge of the trial of Joan of Arc had personal grudges with Joan of Arc, which led to the final result.
Through the memory of our ancestors, Simon realized that the modern Knights Templar had deviated from Jacques de Molei's original intention of seeking the welfare of all mankind, and became an organization that created chaos for its own selfish interests to achieve the goal of controlling others. In order to get the Knights back to the right path, Simon stole the Sword of Eden from Absteig with the help of Victoria and his ex-girlfriend Anaya, and based on Gabriel's memory, he retrieved the Sacred Heart that had been sleeping at the bottom of the Seine for hundreds of years.
A few days later, at an emergency meeting of the Inner Temple, Simon showed Alan Rikin and other members his research results, as well as the Sword of Eden that restored his divine power. At the same time, he declared that the Knights should correct their course according to the thought of Jacques de Molei. Alan Ruijin and the Inner Temple condoned Simon's stealing of the Divine Sword and allowed him to continue operating the Historical Research Department based on his own ideas.
But in fact, Alan Rigin, who was determined to completely eradicate the Assassin Brotherhood, was very dissatisfied with Simon. He secretly sent someone to monitor Simon closely and decided to carry out the cleaning operation after completing related projects in Madrid (see the movie version).
At the end of the story, Simon once again entered Animus to experience the last memories of his ancestors. He was surprised to find that Joan of Arc was not dead and appeared before him. It turned out that a female follower of Joan of Arc voluntarily became her substitute, and with the help of the assassins, he saved Joan of Arc.
From the relevant information of "Assassin's Creed: Origin", it can be seen that Simon Heatherway is the department head of the heroine Layla Hassan, and it was Simon who issued the task of asking Layla and her partners to go to Egypt to recycle ancient items (Bayek's mummy).
Matthew Kabby's work
Irving, a single-parent teenager, was imprisoned when he was young because his father was accused of robbing the Galaxy and killing people, and eventually died in prison. Irving has been resentful about this and vows to find out the truth; Irving's friend Javier is full of curiosity about new things, but because of his sexual orientation, his relationship with his family was not particularly pleasant, and his relationship with Irving was not as close as before, but he was still willing to help Irving; Natalia, a descendant of Russian immigrants, was very introverted, but very opinionated; Sean, who was unable to walk due to a car accident, hoped to be down-to-earth and experience different lives in the virtual world; David, a black boy who was always unserious in his work, and his sister Grace, who was always worried about him.
These six ordinary American teenagers who were not very relevant came together because of a unique Animus experience and were involved in the struggle between the Brotherhood of Assassins, the Knights Templars and other forces around the Trident of the Eden, the artifact of Alexander the Great.
The "Last Genesis" series has 3 works so far, telling a complete story about "Beyond Events" and the Trident of Eden. Although this series is classified as a teenage novel and is aimed at a younger readership, the book involves many new settings of the Assassin Universe, and like other novel works by other authors, it also makes important contributions to the improvement of the series' worldview.
We can see that one of Javier's ancestors is the grandson of Shay Comack, the protagonist of Assassin's Creed: Rebellion; and in the derivative comics of this series, Sean's ancestor Tommy Grelin once investigated cases with the Fry brothers and sisters in the UK; the detailed description of memory corridors, bleeding effects, and memory synchronization is also the first time that the series has expressed in this novel in the form of words; this book also launched derivative versions of the concepts of genetic memory such as shared memory, presumptive memory, and prototype memory, further expanding the possibility of story development.
The First "The Last Genesis"
Monro, a former senior researcher at Absteig, defected to Absteig with Animus core in order to study "transcendence events" without restrictions. Under his convening, Irving and six other teenagers experienced the New York conscription riot in 1863 and discovered the whereabouts of a fragment of Eden. This fragment of Eden is a dagger that possesses the power of faith and can make the holder an object of faith in the hearts of others. This dagger is just one of the tips of the Eden Trident that Alexander the Great once possessed. The genetic memory of the six teenagers will lead them to discover the whereabouts of the other two halberd tips.
Before everyone had time to celebrate the success of the experiment, the Knights Templar raided Monroe's hiding place. Monroe successfully escaped with Animus core and the genetic data of everyone. Irving and Javier also successfully escaped from the encirclement of the Knights, but Natalia and four others were captured by the Knights and taken to the Eagle Nest Research Institute. Later, Irving and Javier were protected by the assassin Griffin and told the assassin about the tip of the faith halberd.
On the other hand, Isaiah and Victoria Bibo, the head of the Eagle Nest, convinced Natalia and others to cooperate with the Knights Templar with generous conditions, sayingThe whereabouts of the halberd tip of faith will be discovered in the future. But when the Templar and Assassin went to the burial site of the tip of the faith halberd, they found that someone had taken it away first...
The second part "Khan Mausoleum"
The Knights and the Brotherhood both found that the second halberd tip was likely hidden in China during the war between the Song and Yuan dynasties, so the teenagers entered Animus again. In this history, Natalia became her ancestor, the Mongolian warrior Bayan, while Owen transformed into Zhang Zhi, the daughter of the assassin. The two experienced the battle of Diaoyu City from different perspectives in different Animus, and found that the second halberd tip was buried in the Khan's mausoleum hidden in the Mongolton Mountains of Buerhanheledu, Mongolia as its owner, was assassinated by Zhang Zhi.
Near Buerhanheledune Mountain, the Knights Templar and the Brotherhood of Assassin confront each other again. Natalia, who knows the specific location of Khan Mausoleum, does not want the tip of the halberd to fall into the hands of any party of the Knights or the Brotherhood, so she and other partners plan to dig out the tip of the halberd by herself. But the Knights Templar finally found the Khan's Mausoleum with a large crowd, and the tip of the fear halberd fell into Isaiah's hands. But then Isaiah sent a message to second-in-command Victoria, announcing that he had two halberd tips at the same time and would no longer work for the Knights. At the same time, he also took away Sean, who stayed in the Eagle's Nest due to mobility difficulties, and Sean had already discovered the whereabouts of the third halberd tip in the memory of his Viking ancestor Stambong.
In order to prevent Isaiah from getting the third leg of the halberd and becoming the second invincible conquering king Alexander, Victoria proposed a temporary truce to Griffin to jointly deal with this difficult enemy.
The Third Part "The Destiny of the Gods"
Victoria reported to the senior leaders of the Knights' Order's rebellion, but this eliminated the part of her cooperation with Griffin, the assassin. Griffin also cooperated with Victoria's actions without telling the others in the Brotherhood. They, Monroe and five teenagers continued to explore the memories of the Viking era in the empty Eagle Nest.
Luckily, the "contingency" or "necessity" beyond the events tied the ancestors of Javier and Grace and David to the same era as the strong man Stambonger. Stablonde defeated his brother-in-law, the Danish king "Bluetooth King" Haral, and led the Danish fleet back to his hometown to challenge his uncle, Swedish king Eric. Javier's ancestor Sovarde was a member of the fraternity of the king, while Grace and David's ancestor Osten was a farmer under King Eric. He responded to the king's signs to fight against his nephew's invasion.
In the days-long battle, Stabloid obtained the tip of the devotional halberd from his brother-in-law and presented it as a wedding sacrifice to Thor, the god of Thor, on the eve of the final battle. Assassin Sovald secretly witnessed all this, stole the tip of the halberd and offered it to King Eric, asking Eric to sacrifice it to the great god Odin to win the sign of victory.
In the battle the next day, Osten, as King Eric's substitute, blocked the challenge announcement of Stambong's announcement and defeated Stambong, who had been poisoned by Sovald in the duel, and finally ensured King Eric's victory and peace in Sweden. After the battle, Sovald secretly handed over the tip of the dedicated halberd to Osten, allowing the honest farmer to bury the tip of the halberd in a place that could avoid human eyes.
At the same time, under the guidance of Monroe, Irving, Natalia and Grace entered the prototype memory of humans unconsciousness, broke through the three difficulties of fear, dedication and faith, and saw the images of Minerva, the first civilization, who was the first civilization, left in their genetic memory. It turned out that when Yishu had a war with humans and the Ishu people were on the verge of extinction, Minerva planned to destroy the Eden Trident, but the Trident was unintentionally lost.
So she implanted the relevant information into the DNA of a human female ancestor, which would allow the carrier to gather together when the trident reappears in order to complete the mission of completely destroying it. This is what is called "transcendence events". By experiencing prototype memory, Owen and others have obtained a method that can fight against the Trident's heart control ability. But the three of them were skeptical about this statement.
Isaiah went to the ancient Swedish battlefield based on the scene Sean saw in Stanchon's memory, but found nothing. Griffin took Owen, Natalia and Grace to the farm spring where the last bury of the halberd tip of Osten, but was surprised to find that a mineral water plant had already discovered the halberd tip during construction earlier, and placed it in the factory as a mascot.
At the same time, Isaiah also got the news from the news in the local newspaper. He left Sean and led the team to recover the tip of the halberd. During the battle between the two sides, Griffin died and the tip of the halberd fell into Isaiah's hands. Sean contacted Victoria, who was far away in the Eagle's Nest in the United States, and arrived at the scene in time with an autonomous vehicle operated by artificial intelligence, and rescued Irving and others.
Soon, Sean and Irving rushed back to the Eagle's Nest under Victoria's arrangement and began to prepare for the attack against Isaiah. Because Irving had the ability to destroy the trident before, Isaiah would eliminate this hidden danger before carrying out a great cleansing of the world. When Isaiah led the large Absteiger troops brainwashed by the trident to the Eagle's Nest, the six teenagers seized the opportunity to confront Isaiah face to face.
The Eden Trident in Isaiah's hand exerted a strong ability to control the mind, but the teenagers broke through Minerva's trial and mastered the method of defeating the mind with a firm sense of self. In the end, Javier killed Isaiah with the sword left to him by Griffin before his death. The teenagers worked together to touch the trident, and Minerva's consciousness and power were activated from the collection of unconsciousness in their memory, completely eliminating the dangerous mental control ability of the trident.
Written at the end
In addition to Oliver Bourden's "Original" series adaptation of novels,The series "Heaven" and "The Last Genesis" themselves also left a lot of foreshadowing about future developments in the finale. With Assassin's Creed: Origins soft restarts to the entire series, we see more possibilities about the Assassin's Universe.
I believe that in the next decade, we will see more excellent Assassin's Creed novels. If you like the "Assassin's Creed" series, then you might as well go and search for the old works that have been released in Chinese translation. I believe that after reading it, you will definitely fall in love with this possibility-filled Assassin Universe.
